AI (8112) Data string presentment overview
The goal of this document is to provide an overview of all formats the AI (8112) data string can manifest to the consumer for use in various scenarios or channels as well as the symbologies used to display AI (8112) data strings for point-of-sale scanning.
Formats
Complete AI (8112) serialized data string
The complete AI (8112) data string is the original standard data string built to identify the offer. This is the record deposited into the Master Offer File when an offer is distributed to a consumer. Any other data string format refers back to this data string as the source of truth for authentication or validation.

AI (8112) Bundled ID data string
An AI (8112) Bundled ID data string, or “Bundled ID”, is a data string that begins with “8112” followed by a series of numbers used to identify a bundled group of complete serialized data strings. Bundled IDs are housed in a QR Code or Code-128 symbology for scanning at the Point-of-sale. When scanned, the Bundled ID is sent to TCB to retrieve and send associated complete data strings to the point-of-sale for validation.

Fetch code
A Fetch code is a 16-digit numeric-only code that is delivered on-demand to a consumer via their mobile device in the event a barcode cannot be scanned at the point of sale. The code must be manually keyed into the retailer's POS and therefore must be a human-readable numeric alternative that has been associated with the same serialized data string that was previously acquired by the consumer.
E-commerce code
An E-Commerce code is a XX alpha-numeric code distributed either in place of or with a complete data string. As a stand-alone code, it is issued exclusively for online shopping transaction use; as an accompanied code, it is an online shopping redemption alternative to a digital or paper AI (8112) serialized data string.
