AI (8112) Supported Offer Types
The purpose of this article is to provide a complete list of AI (8112) Supported Offer Types. Because AI (8112) coupon offers are automatically validated at the Point-of-sale, it is our goal to ensure that all technology partners responsible for validating AI (8112) offers are equipped to do so. On the front end, it is also our goal to ensure manufacturers have clearly defined parameters with regard to offer types that our partners can validate.
When the AI (8110) specification was created, the logic components were built with flexibility in mind. Unfortunately, that flexibility gave way to a gray area of offer types and no complete set of offer types exists for manufacturers as a guide.
The list below is the offers available using the present offer components in the AI (8112) Specification. We have also provided an exclusion list. It is important to note that the excluded offers are only excluded until the industry is properly prepared to validate these offer types.
Included offer types:
- Purchase requirement Code 0 with various combinations of Save Value Codes and Additional Purchase Requirements
- Purchase requirement Code 1 with various combinations of Save Value Codes and Additional Purchase Requirements
- Purchase Requirement Code 2 accompanied by Save Value Code 6 only

Some offer types are not currently supported by the majority of Point-of-sales and therefore are currently excluded from use.

- Additional Purchase Rules Code 3: Combination of A, B, and C
- Save Value Code 5: % off transaction
